Animals Inc. respects your privacy and adheres to the following policy concerning the animalsinc.net website. Animals Inc. takes very seriously the privacy of its youngest visitors, children under 13. Please see Children Under 13 below to learn about how Animals Inc. protects the privacy of children.

Collection and Use of Personal Information and Non-Personal Information

Information Collected

Information You Voluntarily Provide:

Animals Inc. collects the following personal information that you share if you become a Friend of AZA through the “Join Friends of AZA” online form:  name, address, email address and phone number (“Personal Information”).  Animals Inc. may also collect credit card information that you share in order to become a Friend of AZA.  Animals Inc. does not use your credit card information for any purpose other than for payments associated with becoming a Friend of AZA.

Information We Gather Automatically:

Animals Inc. uses certain standard Internet technologies to collect information that does not personally identify you when you visit the Site, such as, by way of example, IP address, type of Internet browser or operating system, the length of time you visited the site, the web pages you visited.  We use this information to provide you with a more useful online experience at the Site and to improve the quality of our content.  We cannot and do not use this information to identify the visitor to the Site.

User-Submitted Content

This Site allows users to (i) post or to submit (via email or otherwise) photographs, artwork or other expressions (together “Your Content”) and (ii) post Your Content on social media sites using a hash tag that Animals Inc. advertises

By posting or submitting Your Content to us in the manner described in (i) and (ii) above, you agree that Animals Inc. may post and display Your Content on the Site and on social media platforms to which Animals Inc. subscribes, such as Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram.  You also represent and warrant that you have all necessary permissions and the right to allow Animals Inc. to post and display Your Content, without limitation, all copyrights in and to Your Content

Use of Personal Information 

We may use your Personal Information to contact you with member communications from Animals Inc. or to advertise and promote Animals Inc. products, services and events and to respond to correspondence from you.  We may also use your Personal Information to contact you to invite you to support our programs.  You may “opt out” of future such communications by following the instructions on any electronic communication we send.

We may share the information we collect with our service providers, such as our agents and outside consultants, who assist us in our work, help manage the Site and any associated databases, and facilitate our communications with you.  These companies are obligated by contract with us not to otherwise disclose your Personal Information.  

We may also share your personal information with unaffiliated third parties to respond to subpoenas, court orders or other legal process.  We do not now and do not intend to sell, rent, or market personal data about you to third parties for other purposes without your consent.

In the event that Animals Inc. or any of its assets, such as the Site, is acquired by a third party, personal information acquired by us may be one of the assets transferred.

Advertising

Animals Inc. may use third-party network advertising companies to serve ads on the Site.  These companies may set up and access cookies on your browsers to serve these ads and may use cookies or other technology to collect non-personal information about your online activities on this Site or other sites.  Animals Inc. does not provide your Personal Information to any advertising company without your express permission.

Children Under 13

Animals Inc. does not knowingly collect or request information from children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly accept photographs or other content submitted by children who are under the age of 13.  The Site is not directed at children under the age of 13.  Animals Inc. has taken measures to ensure that photographs and other content that may be submitted to Animals Inc. through the Share & Connect feature of this Site is submitted by persons over the age of 13.  If you believe that your child has shared a photograph or other content or any Personal Information with us, please contact us at webmaster@aza.org.  If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with Personal Information or photographs or any other content, we take steps to remove such information from our systems and database.  

Access

If you believe that Animals Inc. has information about you that is incorrect or incomplete, please let us know via the email or address listed below and we will correct or update it promptly. You may also ask us to remove your name and other personal information from our database, in which case we will make all reasonable efforts to do so.
