Lion Cubs Get Names! | April 4, 2013: These five cuties were born at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo on December 29, 2012. The zoo held a contest through their Facebook page to name the cubs, and the results are in: the two males are Taj (“crown”) and Josiri (“brave”), and the females are Kya (“diamond in the sky”), Leela (“night beauty”), and Zuri (“beautiful flower”). All five cubs are thriving, and at last weighing were between 17 and 23 pounds.
